Johan Gustawsson is CTO of Provider Connectivity at Cisco, where he leads the strategy and architecture for service provider and large-scale connectivity platforms within Cisco’s Data Center & Internet Infrastructure group.
Throughout his career, Johan has built and operated some of the world’s most influential networks, driving innovations that have reshaped modern network architecture. In his current role, he leads strategic initiatives that empower service providers and cloud providers to evolve to meet the needs of a rapidly advancing landscape.
Prior to joining Cisco, Johan was the Head of Network Architecture, Strategy, and Engineering at Arelion (formerly Telia Carrier), leading a globally distributed organization at the world’s #1 ranked Internet Backbone.
Johan holds a degree of Science in Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He spends most cycles on sports, quantitative investing, and navigating the life of being a father of three small children.
